Marshall Bluestone was in charge of the Family Law Section's annual picnic this year. His hard work (and Patti Tate's able assistance) resulted in ... much needed rain in Northern California. Here is his article which appeared in the SCBA Bar Journal (edited):
Here in our Santa Rosa office, we returned to work following Napa County's 6.0 quake to a few distractions, but luckily no damage. We hope that our friends and colleagues in Napa County came through as well.
The Archive Committee for the Sonoma County Bar Association held its first-ever "Day at the Races," combining the tradition of the Sonoma County Fair with the history of the Sonoma County Bar Association. President Bonnie Freeman and other members of the Exectutive Committee await their photograph with the winning horse in the fourth race, which was sponsored by the SCBA. The auction at the event raised money to help fund the continued preservation of the historical documents, photographs, and other SCBA memorabilia. A more-than-fair time was had by all!
On March 28, 2014, the Sonoma County Bar Association sponsored a full-day Civil Trial Practice seminar covering all of the basics for new and/or inexperienced attorneys.
On September 6th, Marshall Bluestone and Bonnie Freeman joined family law attorneys Tony Zunino and Becky Rasmason for a fundraiser for Legal Aid of Sonoma County. Weathering the 90+ degree heat of the day, the foursome shared laughs, bogeys and companionship with dozens of attorneys, judges and other supporters of Legal Aid. The live auction and awards ceremony in the evening hours offered a great opportunity to socialize with Sonoma County's finest legal minds.

On October 12, 2013, Certified Paralegal Trudy McQuiddy and Bonnie Freeman "co-starred" in this "documentary" outlining those last frantic days leading to the first day of trial. With over 20 trials between them, they shared information that is simply not taught in books or classrooms.
